Qualifications









 


·  
BA Psychology, University of California,
San Diego  1989

·   21+ years teaching experience

·   15+ years dog training experience special interest in canine behavior and the understanding, shaping, and channeling of canine drives (i.e. prey, defense, etc.)

·   10+ years professional dog training

·   Successfully trained and achieved working titles on his own dogs,  raised and trained from puppyhood

·   DVG* certified decoy (*Deutscher Verband der Gebrauchshundsportvereine Begun in 1903, DVG was Germany's first police and service dog club, and is the oldest and largest Schutzhund training organization in the world.)

·   Currently has the privilege of working with several local K-9 units in a training/problem solving capacity

·   Has been requested to perform decoy/obedience and handling seminars for the USAFA K-9 unit, Peterson AFB K-9 Unit, as well as assist in dog/handler team preparation for National Competitions.

·   Received the Pueblo Police Department Award
of Appreciation for 2003.

·   In August, 2004, Jim received special recognition by the USAF Academy and Peterson AFB K-9 Units for his dedication and support.
